Wellhead Stream
Contents |
Definition
A Wellhead Stream is a distinct stream of fluids that is determined by an installed well head configuration.
Clarification
A Wellhead Stream exists in the field. A Well can have zero, one or more Wellhead Streams. A Wellhead Stream may have relationships to one or more Wellbores, Wellbore Completions, Wellbore Contact Intervals, or Well Reporting Streams. A Wellhead Stream may correspond to a tubing string, wellbore annulus or an open-flow well. The Well is parent to the Wellhead Stream.
The Wellhead Stream has attributes, such as measurements, readings, rates, or volumes, which describe its characteristics. Downtime is generally recorded at the Wellhead Stream in volumetric reporting.
Wellhead Stream in the PPDM Data Model
Wellhead Streams are loaded in the FACILITY table, with FACILITY_TYPE = 'Wellhead Stream'. Create relationships between the Facility and well components in the WELL_FACILITY table. Create relationships between the Wellhead Stream and other facilities in the FACILITY_XREF table.
A high level mapping of well components and PPDM 3.8 is shown in the attachment.
