Interactive Net Mapping Ltd

Interactive Net Mapping Ltd was formed in 2005 with the purpose of :-

“creating cost-effective WebGIS systems that provide measurable benefit to clients in their use of geographic data and related information management needs”

With the widely held view particularly in the E & P geosciences sector that 80% of data is geospatially related, the company set about the design and contruction of a purpose based simple yet cost effective E & P WebGIS tool for desktop use.

The first product Version 1.0 was created in late 2006 based on international E & P data management consultancy experience over 25 + years in various locations. Varied technical expertise was required in the design and build process. Progression to Version 2.0 occurred with oilelefant WebGIS-EDRMS (Electronic Document and Records Management System) released in November 2008

More details can be viewed at http://www.oilelefant.com

The application has also been linked with a web based E & P document viewing application in 2008 termed VuVault. For more details view http://www.vuvault.com

The combination of technologies provide simple, cost effective yet powerful applications for desktop and web based E & P information management, both in terms of structured and unstructured information.

Users through the use of the oilelefant WebGIS-EDRMS approach can efficiently update information that is geo-spatially related, with any easy to use web based interface to access data and records stored in physical warehouses and file rooms and/or within digital file stores.

The current release oilelefant Version 2.0 WebGIS - EDRMS has emphasis on WebGIS and Records Management aspects of the E & P Information Management process and is ideally suited to assist small start-up oil explorers on limited budgets or with 'niche' needs for simple yet effective tools and to cater for growth of an expanding amount of physical hardcopy and digital E & P information.

The relevance of industry standards for data modelling but also data exchange was identified at an early stage in the build process, with the initial build occurring using the framework of PPDM Lite 1.0. As the oilelefant database model schema progressed it was evident in the build process that aspects of PPDM 3.7 would be relevant and required.

The PPDM model provides an ideal framework and 'language' by bringing Geoscientists and IT developers to a common discussion point in the software creation and build processes.
