What is an Additive Catalogue?

Additive catalogues contain lists of additives at the level you might find in a product catalogue or on vendor specification lists. Information about additives in the catalogue relates to intended manufactured specifications and the packaging used for distribution CAT_EQUIPMENT. That means that each entry in the additive table will roughly correspond to a bar coded product.

A high level (parent) table that describes the kind of additive is found in CAT_ADDITIVE_TYPE - this table lists additives in types independent of packaging. Since additives are deployed in the field in units that correpond to packaged quantities (or a portion of a package), the FK into the well operations tables comes from CAT_ADDITIVE.
