This version of the online application presents the key deliverables of Phase I of the "What is a Well?" initiative. The key deliverables include:
- Well component definitions
- Baseline well diagrams
- Regulatory agency comparisons:
- Supporting Information
- Baseline
With this version the well component definitions and baseline well diagrams are complete. Fourteen States and five Provinces have been added to the regulatory agency comparison. Additional states and provinces will be deployed to the site as they come available.

What is a Well? Phase II
Phase II of the What is a Well? project is underway and will address the following:
- Extension to Phase I deliverables to include:
- Additional Eastern US States and enhancement of the existing Canadian provinces
- Australian data collection and analysis
- Baseline definition for Well Status and Classification to include map symbology
