Contribute to the Reference Values and Data Content Forum.

The aim of the Data Content Project is to provide the Energy Industry
with a common, extensible, centrally maintained Electronic Reference Data
Library. The Library will be available to everyone, locally and
internationally, e.g. Energy Companies, Data and Software Vendors,
Regulatory Agencies, Consulting and Implementation Companies

The benefits of a standardized set of reference table populations are:

  1. It will greatly improve the time and cost involved in data model
    implementations and data updates
  2. It will ensure that Energy Companies, locally and internationally, can
share, trade, acquire and merge information and data without the painful
and time consuming task of massaging the data
  3. It will simplify data access and query mechanism
  4. It enables the industry to develop standard reference tables rather than
having standards dictated to the industry by regulatory agencies or
    governments.
