New PPDM workgroups are launched with the support of industry members who understand the value of data management standards, and who want to participate in their development. Sponsorship levels are determined on a case by case basis, and are documented in the relevant workgroup charters. Sponsors sit on the workgroup steering committee and have specific rights, including the right to approve the project scope and deliverables, and to recommend how other industry experts participate.
