PPDM 3.7.1 PPDM Data Definition GeneratorThe PPDM 3.7.1 data model has been developed over many years to address different business requirements within the E&P Industry. As a consequence, the the model has grown to encompass 1238 tables grouped into 46 modules. PPDM recognizes that the business needs of small or niche companies may not require the implemetion of the entire PPDM 3.7.1 data model. The PPDM Data Definition Generator is a service provided for PPDM members who wish implement only the PPDM 3.7.1 modules that meet their specific business requirements. Module descriptions and diagrams are provided in the Online Documentation as well as the Model Documentation in PDF format. You may select one or more modules in any combination to create a customized set of tables. The PPDM DDL Generator creates a subset of the PPDM data 3.7.1 model based the modules you want to implement. You can choose whether you only want to use the tables that are in the modules you selected (the Core tables) or if you would like to include any table that is referenced by the tables in those modules (the Referenced tables) associated within only the modules' "core tables" or all other tables related. For example, if you select the WELLS module, the Referenced tables would include tables needed by the WELLS module that control stratigraphy, business associates, named areas etc. Most of the time, it is best to request reference tables, as this will help you implement a set of tables that contains everything you want. All constraint definitions (primary keys, foreign keys, etc.) will be included by default. The constraints that are created provide important integrity among the tables you select. Each constraint type will be contained in a separate file. If you do not implement all of the constraints, your compliance to the PPDM 3.7.1 data model may be affected. For more information, see the read me file within the zip file that is returned with the data definition files. Finally, you will be able to choose from four database formats. Select a format below to get started.
