Consulting - PPDM

In the second half of 2008, members of the PPDM Association sponsored an industry initiative to establish baseline definitions for a well and the components of a well. Following the success of this work, the initiative has been extended to establish baseline definitions for well status and classification that can be adopted across industry. This initiative is currently underway and the PPDM Association is now looking for an experienced E&P industry data management professional to provide guidance on the project.

Responsibilities

• Identifying existing sources of well status and classification systems
• Consolidating sources of well status and classification information into single value lists
• Working with industry sponsors to finalize the value lists
• Establishing a methodology for performing baseline comparisons with regulatory status and classification systems
• Reviewing existing map symbology sets for well representation
• Working with industry sponsors to establish a consolidate well symbology set for industry

Project Duration and Commitment

The following are estimates only:

• 12 weeks duration
• 24 hours per week

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills:

• Minimum of 10 years experience in oil and gas data management
• Experience integrating different sources of data including commercial, regulatory, public, and proprietary.
• Experience with GIS systems and representing well symbology within a map interface
